It’s just way too slick, way too greasy feeling….! As I said it does have a silicone-like feel on skin so it does offer some blurring and filling abilities but the serum-like texture is very moist and slick on my skin and leaves me with a dewy finish. Too much and you’ll end up looking all kinds of greasy! I was thinking maybe my skin would appreciate this formula more when the cooler weather hits but I realize I’m making excuses for it. You have to be very, very, very, did I say very? Careful with this stuff! You really need the smallest amount to do your entire face. I find the texture is nothing at all like Honey Dew Me Up and toes the line at being part serum, part silicone primer. This is formulated with a ton of different oils including corn, apricot kernel, passiflora, and rice bran oil which YSL promises as skin softening but without the greasy residue (Ummm yeah, this is slick as hell). It comes housed in a gorgeous clear glass pump and quite resembles NYX Honey Dew Me as suspended in the clear primer base are tiny flecks of gold. I happen to be one of those two things as my skin is drier but not yet mature or at least I don’t think it is. Yeah, so, I’m not sure what demographic YSL is trying to target with this formula but I’m thinking drier, mature skin. Buying this is kind of like getting mugged and then putting Crisco on your face.” I read this review on and snorted myself silly at how accurate it was, “This is an exquisitely packaged bottle of silicone, perfume, and corn oil. I admit YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer had me curious and considering I was able to purchase it during the 20% sale they were having I was all about giving it a try! Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer ($52) is a new illumtinating primer that promises to blur the appearance of imperfections while boosting the radiance of your foundation.
